Cooking & Programming

I just got rainchecked for badminton, again. How often do I need to be treated like this? Well I don’t care how insignificant I am in your lives because you don’t care anyway. I can’t be bothered and I am only in for the smashes, period.

Here I am, having the luxury of time to blog. I have been cooking a lot recently. A lot of you have seen my “cook book” on Facebook. The reason I put it up there initially was to remind myself of what I can cook and what I have not, a repository of my makings I would say. I didn’t expect it to be so popular throughout my network. Even my mom came up to me and ask me how to access the photos on her account. LOL

The more I cook, the more I wonder where my real interest lies. I figured that cooking & programming have a lot of similarities. Your recipes is my requirements, you can alter to taste. It requires careful development to achieve promising results. It also needs passion doing it, without passion your dish or product will not turn out right. Most importantly multi-tasking and scheduling, it is vital to get things done at given period so that everything flows in a consistent and graceful manner. I call it synergy.

There are a lot of other things that are in common too, that’s why the phrase in the movie Ratatouille – “Anyone can cook” is somewhat true. Everything requires passion.

A meaningful day if you know how to make it spicy. Well, it’s not gonna be any interesting things happen to this day.

Went for badminton at 11am today. I went out to catch the 10.07am bus. There ain’t any but later than that which I can catch. The next bus is at 10.53am which I’m gonna be late. I just hate Sundays, because I have no car of course.

We played for 2+1 hours today, which means we pay for 2 hours and played for another hour for free. We used up a whole tube of RSL No.1 Tourney smuggled from Malaysia. (Well hope the Australia customs don’t Google these keywords hehe). 12 Shuttlecocks to be exact, gosh it’s never cheap to play sports. 6 of us turned up today, played for 3 hours, it was tiring, but fun!

We still have a lot to learn but everybody has improved significantly. I plan to reduce my string tension from 23lbs to 22lbs. This will give me more balance between net play and attacking. Currently I don’t think my strength is capable to handle the 23lbs, too hard for me :P , was greedy hehe.

Twisted Pain

Had badminton today with few of my friends today, 3 players FFK(didn’t turn up), 1 of them has the initiative to find replacement for the game. I was waiting there at the court at 5pm, and I see no sign of familiar faces.

I started to get piss already, kinda fed up to organize game anymore. But that’s the only thing I can do here, to keep me feel alive. I don’t want to stay home and feel lonely. Badminton is the only thing that make me feel good here living in Australia, honestly.

It’s half past 5 and I finally saw CL sweating himself here. Lucky he turn up or else I really wanna whack him because he is the one who suggested to play today. I started to warm up with him playing singles.

My mood is already off and I forgot that I haven’t warm up my legs yet. While I was trying to hit the shuttlecock, a demon from beneath pulled my leg and sprained my ankle. Again, same spot, same leg, same old injury attacked my nerves again.
