My first encounter with Airasia

November 16th, 2008 by blurblur

So it’s $17 air fare, what do you expect?

  1. Neckache
  2. Backache
  3. Panda eyes with eyebags
  4. Being constantly afraid that you’re in the Bermuda Triangle

Wordweb 5.0 Free edition

November 1st, 2008 by blurblur
Wordweb is a lightweight english dictionary which requires less than 13mb or your gigs of hdd space. It’s fast to load and by placing a shortcut at the startmenu, you will learn more words than reaching out for the cup of water sitting right in front of you on the desk.
The even good news is it comes with a free version which available to download at their website. Well good news always comes with the bad. It suddenly pops out this nag screen today when I launched it.
“You may continue using this free version only if you take at most four flights (two return flights) in any 12 months and you do not own an SUV. If you do not quality you must uninstall the program or order the Pro version.”

Screw StartLogic, put it behind because it’s so bad that it doesn’t worth mentioning again. Philchoong.com now is at new level, serving you guys faster than ever!

Hostgator the best host I’ve experienced so far. Their 24/7 support is the best of the best. Having problem with your hosting? Just click on their live chat and they even submit a ticket for you without frustration. As a developer myself, I understand that problems do happen. With the support as friendly as Hostgator, problems will be solved in no time.

Notice the new Tech menu on top of the page? That’s my new tech blog hosted for geeks. No more geeky stuff here for you, non-geek friend! =P

Crysis eats my PC

Crysis

Crysis

Been playing this game for days now and all I can tell you is that it’s aweesomme! It’s too awesome to the point that it eats my GPU for breakfast and now crunching on my RAM for lunch.. It uses up nearly 1.6GB of my 2GB ram while I’m shooting the Aliens.

On top of that I’m running it on top of Windows Vista Ultimate for the best results in graphics. Vista usually uses up approximately 0.3GB 650MB of ram on a fresh boot. So what is there left for me?? T_T

Monkey meets PC

August 29th, 2008 by blurblur

As Rachel said in the my previous post comment, I neglected my blog again. I was too busy to blog. There is always something to do. You can visit Rachel’s blog about “our hazelnut cupcakes” posted on the 12th of August.

Okay I’ll be frank now, I was saying there’s always something to do. Besides assignments, there’s a new thing to be busy with recently. I bought a new PC!! Hell ya.. after so many years of laptop and gameless life, literally.

I built my system from scratch, for the first time, I picked every component myself and handbuild it, handbuild you know!! ya i know anybody can do it nowadays.. Unlike 8 years ago when I first had my PC.

Anyway, my PC arrived at my door piece by piece, actually only the first 2 pieces. The Antec 430W Power Supply Unit (PSU) arrived first and the latter was the casing. I was so happy to receive it and open packages, just like kids opening presents during Christmas, it’s just FUN.

(Note: Here comes the boring part)
